A new puzzle is released this time.

今回は「森のコロボックル」という作品のパズルとなります。
こちらはLAの2019年にGagosian Galleryにて開催された村上隆個展「GYATEI²」で展示された作品が元の図版です。

It is also a brother work of the work exhibited in the palace at the exhibition held at the Palace of Versailles in 2010.

By the way, the background of both works has a grid design, which is quoted from "Birds and Animals in the Trees", which is said to be the work of Ito Jakuchu.

In the illustration of Ito Jakuchu, a grid of squares is drawn and colors are placed there, and the background and the animals in the foreground are all expressed in a grid pattern.
Murakami used only the background as a grid, and the flowers in the foreground were represented by line drawings instead of grids.

伊藤若冲の『樹花鳥獣図屏風』も2種類あるのですが、こちらはグリッドの方眼ひとつひとつずつを何度も書き込みようやく一つのマス目の完成、また次の方眼、また次へ、、という伊藤若冲が発明したと考えられる独自の描法と言われています。

さて、そんな伊藤若冲の２作品の中の差分の中に、製作の過程における作家の描く際の気持ちのゆらぎや時代性の変化などを見出した村上がこの兄弟作品を製作いたしました。
